Springshot Productions is a London based independent production company dedicated to high-impact documentaries at the crossroads of politics, art, and human stories. Founded by journalist and filmmaker Annalisa Piras, Springshot has produced internationally acclaimed innovative films that premiered on major broadcasters and festivals worldwide.
Our mission: to use cinema as a civic tool, informing, engaging, and inspiring citizens to take action to improve our societies.

Bio
Annalisa Piras is an award winning British- Italian journalist, filmmaker, International communication strategy advisor and activist based in London. Former foreign correspondent and broadcaster, she is known for her ability to combine journalism, literature, and visual arts: using animation, music, and fiction sequences alongside investigative reporting
She has written, produced and directed award-winning documentaries including Girlfriend in a Coma, The Great European Disaster Movie, Europe at Sea, The Euro Story.
She is co-founder with Bill Emmott of the Wake Europe Project, a Europe wide campaign which uses great documentaries and debates to inform and engage civic societies. She recently curated Visioni d’Europa, a documentary-and-debate six months series at the European University Institute in Florence.
Her innovative work blends investigative journalism with cinematic imagination, bringing urgent political and social issues to global audiences with wit, clarity, and humanist conviction.
